RECONelson has been a producer of rolled shapes, bars and plate segments for the building and construction industry since 1924. Rings, cylinders and rolled structural shapes, made from steel and other alloys, are created by forming, rolling, welding and fabricating. Processes such as plate rolling, angle rolling, and specialized bending, with capacities up to 750 tons, are used to shape custom structures. From the smallest mechanical " Bulldozer" to the largest Hydraulic rolls, RECONelson has designed, built or purchased machines and tooling to form special sections to curved shapes.

The Harvic T-1200 is a beam bender that forms W40" x 397# wide flange beams the hard way (with our latest die improvements), and smaller sized beams to tight radii, from A572-50 material. Beams up to W40 x 436# can now be cambered on the Harvic and the machine may also be utilized for the curving of large structural tubing sections, the rolling of pipe through 18" O.D., and the straightening of beams and tees. We are the only company on the East Coast with this capacity.
Structural shapes like wide flange and standard beams rolled easy way or hard way, tees and angles, rolled channels or structural tubes can all be shaped per your specification on other machines.
Cylinders can be cold formed to tight or large diameters up to 6" thick for use as electric motor frames, bearings, valve bodies, gear blanks and many other components. Some of the other services available at RECONelson include heat treating in our 10-ton capacity furnace, welding, hole drilling and special testing including X-ray, Magna Flux and Ultra Sonic.
